Retrograde Soundtrack

Well, it's actually an album of the week. A few days ago I completed a mixtape called Retrograde that I'd been thinking about with songs using sound effects and the themes of classic video games. There is some Pac-Man, some Mario Bros., some Zelda. All kinda random shit. It was fun to do. If you don't like a song just skip it. I won't be sad. Disappointed, yeah. But not sad.
  This is me realizing that the first Retrograde was on another site of mine and I never posted it here so here it is.

Retrograde 4: Console Champion

A couple of weeks ago I decided to make another Retrograde soundtrack. It is a series of songs inspired by classic video games. This one, Retrograde 4: Console Champion, is exclusively Sega Genesis and Nintendo games. These are always fun to do (which is why I have now made four and a Spare Change edition).

I was listening to a song and started to make something that sounded like it. I did not. I put this together instead and like it more than what I was planning.
 

Return Of The Mack Remix

I just finished up this remix of Return Of The Mack by Mark Morrison.
 

The Smiths This Charming Man Remix

I was watching a movie and it had some songs from The Smiths in it and I wondered if there were any vocal only things I could download. Turns out there are two cleanish ones. This Charming Man remix was fun to play around with. Making last minute cuts and adding things and slowing down the bpm just slightly to get it to match what I wanted.
 

Culture Club Do You Really Want To Hurt Me Remix

This started off with me trying to make a remix of a totally different song and then Culture Club popped into my head and would not leave until I did this. I made three different versions and ended up taking the very beginning of the song and adding it at the end with a different beat.

Cake Short Skirt Long Jacket Remix

A couple hours ago I decided to make a remix of Cake. I'm not sure why one of their songs popped into my head but it did. I don't know if you have ever listened to one of their albums or not but they are really good. There is only clean vocals for two of their songs and I choose this one, Short Skirt/Long Jacket.
